But guided by the dream, imagination, and the power of poetry, they helped overthrow the old regime. This film tells the story of the uneven struggle between the voices of revolution and the fire of the militia.
Hind Meddeb ist Filmemacherin mit Sitz in Paris. Ihre Arbeit spannt sich über Europa, Afrika und den Nahen Osten. Sie zeigt Menschen und Orte in ihrer Komplexität. Zwischen 2011 und 2013 realisierte sie die Dokumentarfilme Tunisia Clash und Electro Chaabi, die Musik als revolutionäre Ausdrucksform thematisieren. Ihr jüngster Film Paris Stalingrad lief bei zahlreichen Festivals und gewann zwei Preise beim Documentary Edge Festival in Neuseeland. Der Film wurde 2021 in Frankreich veröffentlicht.
Hind Meddeb is a filmmaker based in Paris, working across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Her films highlight complex realities of people and places. Between 2011 and 2013, she made Tunisia Clash and Electro Chaabi, focusing on music as a form of revolutionary expression. Her recent film Paris Stalingrad screened at many festivals and won two awards at the Documentary Edge Festival in New Zealand. It was released in France in 2021.
